Jar of Cheer What a fun shaker card! Difficult to see in the picture, but there are sequins and bling inside the “jar” that glimmer and rattle when shaken. This is a retired set, but the Everyday Jar Framelits are still very available to coordinate with the Jar of Love Stamp Set. The frame around the jar is not Stampin’ Up, but so beautiful and detailed that I couldn’t resist using it.
A Cozy Christmas is another retired stamp set, but so darn cute behind the window frame. The sky is sponged, but not before adding dots of liquid masking formula to make snowflakes or stars or whatever your imagination desires. Santa and reindeer are stamped in black prior to sponging, so they are but a hint of an image in the sky.
Beautiful Bauble is a wonderful new detailed ornament stamp set with coordinating framelits. I love the combination of metallic copper and the new color Merry Merlot and the coordinating Merlot/Copper ribbon. This whole card was built around that ribbon. The bauble was hot-embossed with metallic Copper Embossing Powder, then colored with water-based markers in peaches and Merlot and a bit of Bermuda Bay to add contrast. Christmas isn’t just red and green any more!
Dashing Deer – an elegant stamp set with several poses of graceful deer and framelits to coordinate! The simplicity of this done in White and Gold is perfect with this detailed leaping image.
Paper Pumpkin Alternative – Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription that comes with everything in a box that you need to create several fun cards or projects. It is always seasonal and timely. This was the November, 2018 kit. The plaid designer paper was cut at a jaunty angle and paired with Cherry Cobbler card stock. The ferns were in the kit, as was the woodgrain circle sticker, the stamp set, the ink and the Cherry Cobbler Braided Twine for the bow. I added the Cherry Cobbler card stock, embossed with the Holly Embossing Folder, the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding over the seam and the gold sequins. As lovely as this is, the kit made up as it comes is just as nice.
