Just a happy card.  I enjoy employing this “sunburst” technique when I have Designer Series Paper (DSP) to use up.  Cut the DSP into 1-1/4 x 6″ strips.  Then cut again diagonally, so you have lots of very long, thin pie-shaped pieces.

Using a piece of plain white paper, I add adhesive all the way around the edges and a few places in the middle.  Then I begin laying down the pie-shaped pieces, abutting (not overlapping) so they come to a central focal point.

The card base is Whisper White, the mat is Bermuda Bay Card Stock. Using VersaMark, I stamped the “splashy” image from the I Think You’re Great stamp set, faintly, on the right side of the Bermuda Bay mat. The, employing the “kissing technique”, I inked up the I THINK YOU’RE GREAT sentiment with its solid background and “kissed” it to the “splashy” image, creating a mottled background that matches the other “splashy” image on the Bermuda Bay background.  The, punched out the sentiment circle with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch and matted it with a contrasting color circle (Crushed Curry) punched from the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. That focal point was popped up with Dimensionals, right over the focal point of the sunburst strips. Wrap a piece of contrasting twine around the whole project and you’ve got a happy card.

Thanks for looking,
