What a lovely, simple card! This sweet dove is from a retired set, Peace on Earth, that never saw ink when it was current last year. I dragged it out and used it this year.
The card base is a regular A2 card, folded (5-1/2 x 4-1/4″), but it has been run through the Big Shot with the largest Oval Framelit (the scalloped one). However, instead of cutting the full oval, I moved the framelit ABOVE the fold, so as not to include the fold in the cut. This leaves the fold IN TACT for the card, but it also leaves the oval not complete. To complete the oval, cut another single sheet of Whisper White with the same largest scalloped oval.
After cutting this single sheet oval, emboss with any full-page Embossing Folder (retired Final Press used here) and using a Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue, line it up with the scallops of the card base below and adhere. The liquid glue allows you to wiggle and move it until it aligns perfectly.
Then, stamp the dove on a piece of Pool Party card stock with VersaMark and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder (or a glittered white as is used here, called Winter Wonderland, a non-Stampin’ Up product) and hot emboss. Die-cut this panel with the next smaller size from the Ovals Framelits Collection. Adhere with Dimensionals, add a little bow made from the 1/8″ Silver Ribbon. The sentiment is from the same set as the dove, which was hot-embossed on Whisper White with Pool Party Embossing Powder, fussy-cut around the lettering and popped up with Dimensionals.
This sweet little card is sure to Wow anyone who receives it.
Thanks for looking,
Carole
