In the Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog is this adorable Photopolymer set called White Christmas, but I want to call it “Over the river and through the woods…”.  Photopolymer is known for its extraordinary precision stamping because you can see right through the stamp, the acrylic block, right to the card stock beneath, so you can see exactly where you are stamping.

The base is Chocolate Chip.  Notice the bottom of each panel is punched partially using the Decorative Label Punch, to make little “legs” for the screen effect of the card. This card folds so it fits in an A2 envelope.  Each panel of Whisper White is mounted onto a mat of Marina Mist card stock on top of base.

First, stamp the trees using Early Espresso ink. This is a single stamp, with the curvy landscape included that I stamped 3 different times to capture the same trees in different positions. The sky is then sponged with Marina Mist and the detail is added.  The car and the snowman are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, then the car is colored with Real Red marker. The deer is stamped in Early Espresso and colored with Crumb Cake. The tree atop the car is stamped in Mossy Meadow and colored with Pear Pizzazz. The lighter color of marker against the darker outline allows for any detail to show up.

The Merry Christmas banner is stamped in Real Red between the trees in the middle panel. And the sentiment (from this White Christmas set) is stamped in Real Red right over the sponged sky in the 3rd panel. The evergreen trees are stamped from a tree in another set, Holiday Home and fussy cut.

When all the stamping is done, “snow” is made by applying a thin coat of Two-Way Glue Pen around the images and sprinkling with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  Shake it off and VOILA!  I added an extra panel of white to the back so the card can be signed. But this is a card I’ll leave on my mantel all Season.

Thanks for looking!
