The Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in the Annual Catalog has been screaming at me to use! It has so many great images of a little splash, a splatter, a spill, railroad tracks and skid marks that it is perfect for a distressed or vintage look.
The base is Very Vanilla, with a layer of Island Indigo as a mat, then a smaller layer of Crumb Cake.
piece is randomly stamped with whatever images you want (or all of them) from Gorgeous Grunge, all in Early Espresso ink. After stamping, run the piece through the Big Shot with the Alphabet Embossing Folder and scuff across the top of the raised letters with a sponge and Early Espresso, tear a corner and sponge some more. That is placed on the Island Indigo layer.
Taking three strips of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper (DSP), flag-cut the ends or use a diagonal cut (as shown), Punch a piece of Crushed Curry out of the Artisan Label Punch and cut it in half horizontally to adhere to the back of the top and bottom of a small rectangle of Early Espresso, so both Curry pieces just peek out from under the Espresso piece. On a Crumb Cake strip, stamp the railroad tracks and trim it up. Stamp “You Make Me Happy” sentiment from Hello Lovely on Vanilla using Island Indigo ink and trim. Stamp the “Ampersand” image, also from Hello Lovely, on a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe with Early Espresso ink and punch it out with the retired Deco Label Punch. Sponge around the edges with Cantaloupe ink.
Layer as shown, popping up the sentiment with Dimensionals.
This card has lots going on, but it is very effective and the colors come alive.
Thanks for looking,
Carole
