What gorgeous snowflakes we have to play with this year!!!
Festive Flurry has a coordinating set of framelit dies that help making beautiful things easy. There are 4 sizes of snowflakes, but only three of them are sized appropriately for a card. The fourth one is perfect for an ornament for your tree or to decorate a gift bag!
This is a Bermuda Bay background, embossed with Fancy Fan. The three “flags” were cut from the Winter Frost DSP and flag-ended. The first snowflake was stamped with Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and punched out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch. Hard to see in the pic, but I edged the white circle with Two-Way Adhesive and sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it. The second snowflake was simply die-cut out of the coordinating Festive Flurry framelits, using the fabulous Silver Glimmer Paper. The third snowflake was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink and die cut with the matching framelit. Each snowflake layer was popped up with Dimensionals.
The base on this one is Whisper White and the mat is a 4″ square of two contrasting pieces of Winter Frost DSP, cut diagonally. The snowflakes are stamped in Bermuda Bay, Metallic Silver Encore Ink, Coastal Cabana. A designer brad is in the center, with a tiny circle of Silver Glimmer Paper serving as the eye-catcher. Dimensionals between each layer.
The sentiment is die cut out of the Thinlets Expressions from Bermuda Bay Card Stock.
Notice the diagonal DSP pieces above… these are the “left-over” pieces. The big, bold Silver Glimmer Paper circle, punched out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch really catches the eye to the focal point. The snowflakes are stamped with Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana and Pool Party. “Merry” is die-cut from the Expressions Thinlets out of Silver Glimmer Paper.
“Joyful Tidings”, from Christmas Messages is stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White and punched with the Decorative Label Punch. A Large Rhinestone is the center focal point.
