This is a sweet old-fashioned Santa who has written his list and is checking it twice!  Santa’s List is in the 2013 Holiday Catalog.

The background is Certainly Celery (retired), embossed with the Pretty Print Embossing Folder.

Then a “frame” was made from Riding Hood Red, die cut from two of the squares in the Squares Framelits collection.

He was stamped on Very Vanilla with Crumb Cake Ink. Then, very carefully, I colored his red suit and hat with Riding Hood Red Marker, leaving his cuffs and beard white.  Then I colored his face with an Aqua-Painter in Blushing Bride ink, making his cheeks a little extra rosy. I gave both his eyes just a “dot” with Island Indigo Market. The “list” was lightly colored Aqua-Painter and Crumb Cake ink.

Once dry, he was fussy cut and popped up on the background with Dimensionals. The frame was trimmed with a strip of Pleated Riding Hood Red Ribbon (retired).  The frame was also popped up.

This card has no background embossing, but the “frame” is some red and green diagonal striped DSP.

His jacket and hat are paler because I used the Aqua-Painter to color him.  Otherwise, both the same.

Thanks for looking,
Carole
